Hubspot became an $8 billion (in market cap) company by riding the inbound marketing wave.
For a long time, the company’s pitch was that by creating useful content often you can get more people to find out about you, trust you, and buy from you.
Once they saw it was working they put their money where their mouth was by writing the best selling book on inbound marketing and launching a conference called INBOUND, which in 2018 became the largest conference in the event history with a record of over 24,000 attendees.
You don’t need to be a billion-dollar company to follow this path. You can be a small business and put your money where your mouth is.
You can write a book which takes effort but is worth it. You can even ride a wave that is already there. Like the video wave which has been a thing for a while now, and audio which is fast building up.
Early starters have advantages like less competition and lower costs of audience acquisition. But you can be a late comer and still win because you’ll find success stories you can follow. You will also risk less because the path you plan to take is proven to work.
Do you see a wave that you can ride to grow your business?
Or you are already at it?
