Often what we have been looking for has been hiding in plain sight.
It is often inside the folders and hard drives on our most uses devices, or inside the Google drives, Apple iCloud, Dropbox, and the old notebooks.
Mine them for what you have already done.
Inside them, you’ll find plans, documents you created for others, notes you wrote, and half-assed work you did. There will be unfinished projects, ideas that did not work on, plans you made but could find time or motivation to act on them.
And, out of that big pile, look for one thing that you’d like to work on. Something that is aligned with where you are going now.
Not everything will be valuable there. So while you are there, delete what does not create joy for you.
The best thing you can do is find and finish the starts that didn’t turn into finish the first time.
Build on top of what is already there.
It is as simple as that.
Use it to build momentum, to create a body of work, and who knows you’ll create something super valuable in the process.
