When it comes to building your personal brand, it is ok to play it by ear early on, but later on it is important to work on the craft of what you do, say, make or write.
Most people start with zero following, and no personal brand.
Whenever we start doing something new we are not skilled in that area.
We get better by practice.
Lack of skill or finesse in what you should not stop you from doing what you set out to do.
But after you have built your tribe for a year or two, people start paying attention.
At that point it is a smart thing to invest in grow the quality of what you put out.
Because every time you put out a blog post, tweet, or post on social media, you build your personal brand.
That’s why what you say matters.
Depth of what you say matters.
Especially when you’ve been in the game for a while.
