From One to Many

You want to influence a million people.

Sit face to face and influence one person first.

You want to sell to ten thousand people. Sell to one first.

You want to speak to a large audience. Explain your idea to one person first and go from there. Explain it to five, ten, twenty. Eventually, you’ll be able to speak to a large audience.

Doing something to/with a large number of people is a good idea but starting there, not so much.

Anything that involves working with people, it is okay to start with one person. With time you’ll find your tribe.
