My Commitment to You for 2019

This tweet by Barack Obama got me thinking.

This is very much in line with what I want to do.

Year after year, I have thought about it and have written about it in my annual reviews and plans.

There is a lot that I want to change.

But first I want all of us to realize, how inefficient we all (including myself) are when it comes to living up to our own potential. Most of the times we short sell ourselves. We do it by not believing in our dreams, by giving up hope altogether, or by going after what is do-able than what is possible.

Possibility and opportunity are huge and only limited by our imagination and our ideas. Once ideas, imagination, and mindset are taken care, come the tactics and fundamentals of human potential. How we conduct ourselves. What we do in a day, who we hang out with and how we leverage what is given to us, starting with our body and mind.

A Start and An Invitation for A Journey

It will be wise to start my quest for change in an area that lives at the intersection of 1) what I have already done where I already have some expertise and experience, and 2) something I want to learn more about.

In my life so far I have been a writer, an author, a marketer, and an entrepreneur. My first small steps to bring change will be to help people who are working towards the goals of excelling in one of these roles.

So, If you are,

  • A professional looking to build a body of work or build your personal brand
  • An entrepreneur planning to build a bigger and more efficient business
  • A writer looking to move forward where you already are,

Then I invite you to come along on a journey of learning and growth.

My goal will be to help you do in 2-3 years what otherwise will take you 10 years. And hopefully help you achieve something that you believed was impossible.

I want to help you live well while doing what you love. This is easier said than done but possible by implementing plans like Hugh Mcleod’s the sex and cash theory.

I have done it before multiple times.

The startup below started from scratch and is now doing seven-figure revenues working with customers from across the globe, and continues to grow.

Now I want to do it for more people.

My Plan for You

I am starting today by publishing this post and we’ll go from there. I have bigger plans for doing more community-driven learning, structured courses, and group challenges. More on that later.

As we move forward, I want to make it more about YOU and less I.

I want YOU to dream bigger, talk bigger.

I want you to build castles in the sky at night. When the sun rises, I want you to take massive action to build the pillars, real foundation, and solid structures under those castles in the sky so that you can actually live in those dreamy castles. Then I wish you help others to dream and build their own castles.

I want you to unleash your full potential and lift people around you starting with yourself, your families, and then your town, city, and society.
I want you to move over what Steve Jobs called ‘a very limited life’.

“When you grow up you tend to get told the world is the way it is and you’re life is just to live your life inside the world.

Try not to bash into the walls too much. Try to have a nice family, have fun, save a little money.

That’s a very limited life.

Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use.

Once you learn that, you’ll never be the same again.”

It is not that difficult. It starts with taking small action. You can do it wherever you are. You can find tools, support, and purpose along the way. To start – you just need a dream, a goal and first small action that you’ll take. It is simple if not easy.

Remember success is nothing but few simple steps repeated day after day – for weeks, months and years. Find your first step toward a brighter future that is waiting for you and start today in whatever small way you can. Your first step can be as small as writing a short note about the future you want for yourself.

So, what is the first step towards a positive change that you’ll take today?
