The mind runs on an always-on motorized treadmill.
Unless we train it to take a momentary pause and stop it from going astray.
There are many ways to do it.
Taking a deep breath or two, getting into immersive conversations, and doing something that moves and engages your body and senses, like dancing are some of the ways one can do it.
But meditation is the best form of training.
It trains us to have control over what we think and how we react to what we experience.
It is a simple practice with profound effect.
But this post is not about mediation.
This post is about conveying the value of controlling our attention and thought processes.
Because this is how we, in a way, control our lives and how we experience them.
Does not matter if you control your attention using the ideas I have shared or do something else that works for you.
