The debate of hard and smart work is old.
And there is no doubt in my mind that hard work works.
But you know what’s better?
Smart work where you do 20% of what you were doing earlier and gain 80% results.
Until you find your 20%, your most important task should be to find out that 20% activity that will create 80% of your results.
Once you find that out you can spend the remaining time to do whatever you want.
Now if you are ambitious you can add a layer of hard work to it.
Leverage 80/20 rule across 2, 3 or up to 4 different areas.
So implement 80/20 in your main things that frees up time and mental space about 80% that you can devote to other things.
This you can potentially grow your output or the value you create by 4-5 times.
And, if you look at it realistically then a 100% jump in value creation and output is normal.
Where do you think you can use this approach?
