Charles Dickens wrote in Our Mutual Friend:
“No one is useless in this world,’ retorted the Secretary, ‘who lightens the burden of it for anyone else.”
This is a good reminder for all of us.
Each one of us has a gift, and it is up to identify that gift by becoming self-aware.
And until we are able to raise our awareness of ourselves, we can ask others around us.
Ask them, what do they think your unique gift is.
Or rephrase it and ask – if you asked for my help what will it be about.
If you ask enough people, you’ll see a pattern.
That’s your gift.
Now use it to lighten the burden of others.
