Consistency Is Overrated

Don’t get me wrong.

There is some value in being consistent.

It can get you out of a rut.

It is a great way to commit yourself and stay clear of procrastination.

And it helps beginners improve to some extent.

But once you have built a habit of doing something, deliberate, intentional practice is the best way to grow. 

Because doing something over time consistently will make you marginally better.

But deliberate practice will make you 10x better by improving something specific every time.
