Long-distance swimmers get themselves ready for marathon swims by putting on weight. They create a buffer to safeguards themselves against harsh climate.

So it helps to create a buffer, in matters of;



Relationships, value stores in different people by loving and helping each other.

Weight, so if you want to stay lean through the festive period try to go to a weight that is 5-7 kgs less than your ideal body weight. That way festive binge won’t affect your fitness.

Career capital, so that you can go on even when you can’t work or don’t want to work.

Think of what others you can build a buffer in.
