Success, at times, can be elusive.
If this is happening to you, try the following:
1/ Negative visualization – Imagine where you would be if you didn’t change, and use the fear of not changing to propel you toward the future you desire.
2/ Increase frustration tolerance – Successful individuals tend to have a high tolerance for frustration. Accepting negative emotions and labeling them helps dissipate them.
3/ Challenge your thoughts – Your thoughts are not facts and should not define you. Ask yourself if your thoughts are genuine and productive or how they make you feel. Build a case against negative thoughts and use them to lead yourself towards more effective, positive thoughts that are true.
4/ Practice self-compassion – Being kind to yourself is essential, especially when things are unplanned. Acknowledge your mistakes and learn from them rather than being overly self-critical. This helps to create a positive mindset and increase resilience.
5/ Focus on the process, not just the outcome – Goals and aspirations are important. But focusing on the journey and your steps to get there is also crucial. Celebrate small wins and acknowledge progress, which helps build momentum and maintain motivation.
Let me know how it goes for you.
